The BSP signs an alliance with B barcelona consulting
The Barcelona Synchrotron Park (BSP) aims at being an international reference cluster of Data Centres (DC). In this perspective, BSP director Pere Solà signed an agreement on October 21 with  B barcelona consulting (Bbc) director Lluís Gironella.

Bbc is an engineering and architecture company headquartered in Barcelona and Singapore, which specialises in DC design, and more generally, in mission critical infrastructure, especially focused on energy efficiency. Thanks to its know-how in free-cooling (a DC cooling system using the ambient outdoor air), Bbc currently works with NTT Communication Malaysia on the installation of the first DC with indirect free-cooling in a tropical country. Besides, Bbc won a tendered engineering contract to develop the new national supercomputing research centre from the famous a*STAR Singapore research state agency.

Thanks to this partnership, the BSP increases its potential to offer DC companies cutting-edge technology solutions, especially in energy efficiency issues. These solutions supplement the BSP district cooling infrastructure already operative that provides each plot with heating and cooling.

In addition, the BSP will be able to intensify its partnership with Malaysia through the contacts Bbc has in Southeast Asia, in particular in the framework of the current project of a shared DC infrastructure between the city of Cyberjaya and the BSP that aims at offering companies from both country a new technological tool for business.
